Benjamin Shultz

Benjamin Shultz is Lead Researcher at The American Sunlight Project, a US-based nonprofit that fights online abuse. His award-winning research into deepfake sexual abuse and disinformation campaigns has been cited in international outlets including The New York Times, Wired, Vanity Fair, The Guardian and Politico, as well as in reports by the United Nations and G7. Ben is also an External Doctoral Researcher at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences and a Fellow at Agora Digitale Transformation in Berlin. He holds an M.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University, a B.A. in Political Science from the California State University and previously held a fellowship with the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society in Berlin.
